I hope you’re all having a good week so far, I can’t wait for the weekend and a break so I’m really glad we’re halfway through the week! I will have my Q&A up on Friday so please leave your questions if you haven’t already because I really do want to answer all your questions no matter how weird, wonderful or personal they are, so please comment!
Today I’m doing a review of the new eye shadow palette I got, the Maybelline Blushed Nudes, I will be doing a look using this palette that will be up this weekend so keep an eye out!
First off I really like the range of colours, they’re really warm and are great for everyday use. It’s a really versatile palette and I’ve found that the colours all work really well together and allow you to create both subtle and slightly more dramatic looks which is so great to be able to do with one palette.
Another thing I love about this palette is that the shadows go on really well, they’re so soft and blend beautifully. It’s also really long lasting. It stays so well throughout the day and looks so good at the end of the day, even without priming your eyes first. The application is so easy which is a huge plus!
The colours are also well pigmented which is great, you don’t need a lot of product to get a prominent colour but the shades are really buildable which makes it look more noticeable and bold. This is the most important thing I look for in an eye shadow and I definitely wasn’t disappointed by the depth of colour in each shadow.
The only thing I don’t like about this product is that the shades that look green in the palette definitely look more brown than green when applied, but this isn’t something bothers me too much as they still look really good and match the other shades so well.
Overall, I love this product and would absolutely recommend it, I think it’s good value for money as it’s only £9.99 in Boots, and I love the shades! This has become a staple of mine over the last couple of weeks so I would definitely suggest giving this palette a go, especially if you’re on a budget.
