Hope you all had a good weekend! Today I’m doing a review on the Clinique Pop Lip Colour and Primer Lipstick in the colour Nude Pop. I recently got this lipstick as a free sample from a magazine I bought and thought I’d give it a try since I haven’t got a nude lipstick that really works for me, and I have to say I was really pleased with this one!
The first thing I have to say is that it gives a lovely bright colour, while this is a nude lipstick it gives a great pigment to your lips and looks super good on. The colour is strong and noticeable without being in your face or not looking like a nude lipstick; I found this to be really good because it gives you a significant amount of colour without being too heavy and in my opinion is perfect if you’re going for a natural make-up look. The shade is a pink nude which I love because I it helps to make your lips stand out, and I personally think it makes you look a bit healthier.
Another thing that I love about this lipstick is that it has a lovely shine to it, while I do love Matt lipstick I find that I don’t want to wear it every day, however, this lipstick has a Demi-Matt finish that is great to use on a daily basis. I have also found that it doesn’t dry out your lips the way some other lipsticks do which is a huge plus because it helps to keep your lips looking and feeling healthy throughout the day.
This lipstick is also lovely to apply, it almost glides on, haha. It goes on so smoothly and is really easy to apply well, which I love because it isn’t messy like some other lipsticks; it definitely makes it to my favourites for easy application!
With regards to the staying power of the lipstick, I would say that it’s good , it does last a significant amount of time, but you definitely need to reapply it multiple times over the day. However, I would say that it lasts well, and I really can’t complain too much about how long it lasts.
I would absolutely recommend this product and it will most certainly be one that I purchase again when I run out, it has so many positive aspects to it and I think it’s a great nude lipstick!
Any comments and feedback are gladly welcomed!
